Spanish photographer Lola Guerrera has created colorful smoke explosions called ‘Nebula Humilis’. She chose the deserts of Mexico to make her series. While bringing a sense of enforced silence to the area, the new interaction with the desert has overridden the Mexican people’s spiritual conception of this once-sacred place. The colorful shapes remind the viewer of both the unstable and subtle relationship between the earth and human beings.
