Nazar Bilyk: Interacting with Nature
Nazar Bilyk is a sculptor born in 1979 in Lviv, Ukraine. He graduated from Kyiv National Academy of Fine Art and Architecture. In 2005 he became a member of National Union of Artists of Ukraine and a master of sculpture. The main theme of his works is the man interacting with nature. A woman encased in a block of ice or a man looking up with an enormous raindrop on his face. Nazar Bilyk has created these inspiring pieces using metal and fiberglass. As the artist says, “it is dedicated to the inner dialogue of a man with himself; it expresses interrogation of a man in search of senses, unanswered lifetime questions. That’s why the man is holding his head up.”
