Octopus Chandeliers by Adam Wallacavage

Adam Wallacavage - Octopus Chandelier 1

These sumptuous shiny monsters are created by Philadelphia-based artist Adam Wallacavage. Adam taught himself the traditional techniques of ornamental plastering; while developing his own unique style, he continued experimenting in color, technique and form. The resulting sculptures show the influence of 16th Century Baroque opulence and Gothic design which reflect his varied aesthetic interests. The octopus chandeliers are exquisite, bizarre and a little bit spooky.

Adam Wallacavage is also a talented photographer; he documents musicians, artists and skateboarders. His first book Monster Size Monsters was released in 2006.
