Omer Huremovic is an artist born in Bosnia and Herzegovina. He currently resides with his family in St. Louis, Missouri. He has been creating metal-based artworks since 1990. Omer’s artworks are essentially inspired by his past experiences formed in his homeland. Destruction and war triggered the desire to create and give shape to wonders of nature. He began creating trees with copper and aluminum wire, devoting much attention to creating sensual, delicate, yet strong and dynamic curves. When he gives shape to them, he then applies a coat of polyurethane super high gloss, evoking the clearness of water bouncing off the rocks below. The changing light also becomes a devoted companion, bringing trees into motion, creating shadows, and enhancing form and color.
