Ysabel LeMay: Photo-Fusion
Ysabel LeMay is a visual artist born in Quebec, Canada. In 1987 she began a thriving career as a graphic artist. Later, she made a transition into the fine arts studying painting at the Emily Carr University of Art. In 2010 she turned her full attention to photography. Ysabel combines her technical expertise with her deep-rooted skills of painter; she explores the power and divinity of nature through a unique process she calls “Photo-Fusion.” These works look like a hyper-realistic painting. However, LeMay takes hundreds of photographs and attunes light and visual properties. She then assembles one detail at a time in a painterly way to form a single composition.
