“Choros” is an experimental film directed by Michael Langan and Terah Maher, modernizing a visual echo technique developed for scientific study in the 1880s. Michael and Terah combine music, dance and image multiplication to create a film that develops our perception of motion. Langan uses modern compositing techniques to create wonderful ghost-like images of movements, following a dancer’s (Maher) experience of discovery and euphoria. Featuring music from Steve Reich’s “Music for 18 Musicians.”
